Game Concept
The idea behind No Limits is quite simple. Allow players to pick and mix their favourite models into one force.

Over the years I have collected a huge number of 25mm to 30mm miniatures. Like many other gamers, large numbers remain unpainted and large numbers are for game systems no longer produced or supported. Even more annoying, many of the painted figures in my collection are for the defunct game systems! Having spent many weeks painting an army to an acceptable games standard, I want to continue to get the benefit from these models.

As a game system ceases to be supported, those regular players will drift away to other systems and it will become harder to find an opponent for a system many may never have heard of. Trying to get new players into an unsupported system is very difficult indeed, the lack of availability of rulebooks and official figures put even the keenest off (but there is always eBay).
At the many shows and conventions I have attended over the last 20 years, I have also collected many miniatures from the independant figure makers which are not necessarily designed for a particular set of rules in the first place, they are just great miniatures that need to be purchased and painted. Once I have a figure painted up, I like to get the opportunity to use it in a game of something!
Also, I have always been a fan of large vehicles, especially those produced by Ground Zero Games and Armorcast. Having the opportunity to use such models in a game has always been very difficult. With a T-51 Leviathon and a Gladiator from Ground Zero Games, and a Reaver Titan, Revenant Titan, Baneblade, Mad Cat and a Vulture from Armorcast, some large scale rules to allow these monsters to be used in army lists were essential...

The large models in my collection mostly gathered dust and rarely saw much action. Painting them was still an enjoyable experience and that after all is much of the hobby in the first place. I spend way more time constructing, converting and painting models than I do actually using them in a game.
So, having played many game systems and having been involved in the playtesting of a few, I though I should have a go myself. The first project was No Quarter, a fantasy battles game system. This was originally released online in 2002 and to date has had many thousands of downloads...all for free!
No Quarter took up a lot of time and so I had not dabbled in sci-fi games for a few years. My collection of sci-fi miniatures was getting impatient. It had always been my intention to create a sci-fi version of No Quarter.
Here it is.
No Limits.
There are loads of planned army lists. There are many figures in storage waiting to see battle again. This is their only chance. Either already available, or coming sometime in the future, there will be "official" army lists for the Spugs (Spriggan Miniatures), Grymn (Hasslefree), Bugs (Ground Zero Games), Undead (Various), Growlers (Vor), Chaos/Demon (Heresy/40K/WFB), Orks (40K), Brotherhood (Warzone), Space Marines (40K), Federation (Warzone/Vor), Eldar (40K), Sovereigns (Warzone), Zykhee (Vor), Tyranids (40K).

You may find it interesting to read a Tabletop Gaming News discussion on the independance of miniatures and using them in other games.

Imagine it...and there will be no limits...
Enjoy, its free...
