The Sovereigns

The models used in the Sovereign force are primarily based on the old Warzone Imperials. Rather than let these figures go to waste, they have formed an independant human colony in the No Limits universe.

The Sovereigns are a small force on the intergalactic stage. Although they operate in a quiet corner of the main galactic hub, they are nonetheless well equipped and well armed. Several times, the Sovereigns have nearly joined the Federation but at the last moment, they have opted to retain their independance.

Sovereign forces favour a wide selection of tracked and wheeled support vehicles from the Leviathon Main Battle Tank to the six wheeled pocket LIPPC Tank Hunter.

The infantry divisions are wide and varied in their equipment and training. The Regular Infantry and the Trenchers are the most numerous, the Red Berets and the Sterlings are the elite special forces and the Air Cavalry are the somewhat unhinged aerial support specialists.

The models for the Sovereign force were from the Warzome Imperial Corporation range originally from Target Games before they went out of business some years ago. The models were then used as the Sovereigns as a custom force in Vor by FASA until they went out of business. It is for model ranges like this in my collection that No Limits was originally created. However the models were in need of some attention and an update to the paintwork was required. Also, the models were to have their featureless bases refreshed and some useful hints were been located around the internet such as a simple Desert War 2: Rebasing article.
