Sovereign Iron Man Profile

Iron Man Platoons are based around old discontinued Dreadnaught models from Games Workshop.

Iron Man History
The Iron Man battlesuit was developed initially to support the Sterlings in urban pacification missions. The Iron Man Mark I was simply equipped with a Pacifier Machine Gun system specifically created for close quarter combat. As the durability of the battlesuit was proven, additional models were created. The Mark II had one arm replaced with a Missile Launcher system, whilst the Mark III had a tank killing Laser Cannon fitted. There are other variants fitted with Laser Cannons and Missile Launchers (or two of each), but these tend to lack tactical flexibility.

Iron Man Mark I
The first model of the Iron Man, subsequently designated the Mark I was fitted with two Pacifier Machine Guns. These weapons were a short range version of the standard Heavy Machine Gun with a slightly reduced rate of fire.

The Mark I proved very adaptable in urban combat able to move through narrow streets with ease and bring supporting fire to the aid of infantry units. Some Mark I models are equipped three or four Pacifier Machine Guns, up to two on each arm.

Iron Man Mark II
The success of the Mark I lead the Sovereign Commanders to commission additional battlesuits with heavier firepower for dealing with armoured enemy units. The first of these was the Missile Launcher equipped Mark II. One Pacifier Machine Gun arm was removed and replaced with a long range missile system capable of firing anti-personnel and anti-vehicle ordnance.
