Spug Conversions

This section deals with some simple conversions to the standard Spug models.

You will need a pin vice (drill), needle file, a modelling knife, cutters and super glue. All of these items must be used with great care.

Light Spug Jet Bike
The first mad Spug organic jet bike was the Heavy Jet Bike created out of a Ground Zero Games Phalon space ship and a Spug infantry model from Spriggan Miniatures. This was a succesful conversion so it was decided to make a squadron of three smaller organic jet bikes using a smaller Phalon ship.

Phalon ship

Like the Heavy Jet Bike, the bits are simply a Phalon model and a Spug infantry model with an optional helmet swap.

Pining the jet bike thrusters

The thrusters on the underside of the ship hull were drilled and pined to make them stronger when glued into place.

Pilot trimming

The pilot for the Light Jet Bike was just to sit on top of the Phalon ship. To make a decent fit, a bit of the Spugs backside had to be trimmed off!

Positioning the pilot

The pilot was glued in place and then his legs bent in to the neck of the jet bike and glued some more.

The completed model

With a helmet added, the model was done!

The Spugs have been created by Spriggan Miniatures. Spugs are copyright Spriggan Miniatures and are used with kind permission. The Phalon ship is a model from Full Thrust range created by Ground Zero Games.
