Spug Miniatures There are a number of elite Spug models available from Spriggan Miniatures, these include the Omega Drones SP09 (Spriggan Catalogue Number) and the Jump Spugs SP10 (Spriggan Catalogue Number). Omega Drones Although only one pose of the Omega Drone is currently available (as of February 2006), the standard model is easily modified to produce enough variation for those who like all of their models to be different. The model is supplied with separate head and arms allowing for easy conversion. Omega Drone - standard configuration The Omega Drone shown is in the standard pose with no modification to the shoulder joints. The model shown here did have the shoulder joints drilled and pinned. Jump Spugs The Jump Spugs are my personal favourites (so far, there are more models on the way!). The Jump Spugs are armed with the larger Shard Carbine requiring the model to use two hands to operate. There are two types of model supplied with separate wings and helmeted head. Just positioning the head in varying direction can give the models a reasonale number of different appearances. The wings can be tricky to fix and a super glue accelerant is recommended! The two models below have been fitted one with a standard helmet and one with an Omega Drone head to act as a unit leader if required. Jump Spugs The three models below have had their heads fitted in different direction. The model on the right has also has its right leg raised slightly to give more movement to the pose. Jump Spugs Finally, I had not seen the rear of a Jump Spug (below) until the models actually arrived. The turbine detail on the back pack is a very neat touch.
