No Quarter Naval Battles
No Quarter Naval Battles is an optional expansion to the No Quarter rules to allow games to be played using large ships.
Although the man to man combat remains very similar to the standard land based game, the mighty sailing ships move and fire ranged weapons in a slightly different way.
These rules also give players a chance to scratch build ships or convert toys or buy some of the very well detailed resin ships that are becoming increasingly available.
The rules are available from the downloads section.

Frigate
The first model constructed for the rules was a Frigate, shown below. This was based on a Playmobil pirate ship that has been waterlined and repainted.

Frigate
This ship was converted with functional playability in mind rather than trying to accurately recreate an 18th century sailing ship. Too much rigging and deck detail would make it very difficult to position figures on the deck.

Galleon / Man O'War
With the Frigate completed, the next model was a larger kids Playmobil toy. Once again, the hull was waterlined and this time even more cannon were added.

Galleon
With a nice wide deck, it makes ship to ship boarding actions somewhat easier to represent as there is plenty of room for the models.

Dwarf Fleet
Another plan was to construct an Ironclad ship of some description to be used as part of a Dwarf fleet. This model was going to be a scratch built ship based on the American Civil War Ironclads that fought in the 1860's. To support the large ship, some wooden barrel subs from Shifting Lands would be employed.
