Battering Rams Making a hand carried battering ram is easy enough. FInding the round balsa wood took a little longer than expected. To make a six man battering ram, the balsa dowl was cut to a length of 120mm (4.5 inches). The handles were made from cocktail sticks and positioned at 25mm (1 inch) intervals. The tip was carefully cut to a point using a modelling knife (mind those fingers). Six Man Battering Ram A eight man battering ram is simply a longer version of the above. The overall length of the dowl needs to be about 145mm (5.5 inches) with an extra cocktail stick added.
